International FairPlay Passport Seminar held with outstanding success at the “Galaxias” Municipal Cinema-Theatre of Aspropyrgos
A highly successful educational seminar on Fair Play in Sport was held on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the “Galaxias” Municipal Cinema-Theatre, attracting the participation of hundreds of students.
The event was organized by the Independent Department of Sports Activities of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos, within the framework of its Cooperation Agreement with the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, and the International FairPlay Passport and in connection with the 11th Inter-School Championship of the municipality.
The keynote guest speaker was Ms. Denise Panagopoulou, Project Manager of the International FairPlay Passport. Through an engaging and inspiring presentation, Ms. Panagopoulou introduced students to the timeless and universal values of sport, emphasizing the importance of respect, sportsmanship, and solidarity, both on and off the field of play.
As part of the event, the Deputy Mayor for Sports, Mr. Iosif Parotsidis, presented an honorary plaque to Ms. Panagopoulou in recognition of her significant contribution to promoting the values of sports among the youth of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos.
A total of 300 primary school students attended the seminar.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants received their own personal International FairPlay Passport, symbolizing their commitment to the principles of fair and ethical play.
What Is the International Fair Play Passport?
The International FairPlay Passport is a programme that was conceived and launched in the historic Municipality of Ancient Olympia. The creator of this innovative passport is Professor Gennaro Testa, an Italian Professor of Sports Sociology.
The programme represents a pioneering initiative and a global vision, directly inspired by the fundamental values of Sports. Its mission is to educate and empower young people through the ideals of peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding, fostering a culture of fair play and responsible citizenship worldwide.
