On April 28 and 29, Ancient Olympia became a digital crossroads for hundreds of students and educators from 15 schools across all five continents through the remarkable initiative of the International Fair Play Passport – Olympia Club.
After a tremendous amount of effort and many hours of preparation, the goal we set was fully achieved.
Students and educators journeyed through time to the sacred birthplace of the Olympic Games, sharing the timeless message of “Fair Play” (Ev Agonizesthai): respect, noble competition, empathy, solidarity, and peace — values that extend far beyond sport and into everyday life.
Our cultural heritage traveled across the world, and these young participants — from South Africa to Colombia and from Singapore to Australia — have now become its finest ambassadors.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, to the Mayor, Aristeides Panagiotopoulos, and to the Deputy Mayor of Sports, Antonis Chrysanthakopoulos, as well as to the Hellenic Olympians Association (ESOA) and its President, Voula Kozompoli, for their valuable contribution to the success of this event.
Special thanks are also due to archaeologist Konstantinos Antonopoulos, whose exceptional guided tour captivated and inspired the students, making the experience truly unforgettable.
