The Stavraki Primary School, Ioannina

🌟We welcome the Primary School of Stavraki, Ioannina, in the International FairPlay Olympia Club!🎉 The Primary School of Stavraki is a public school located in a suburb of Ioannina, North- Western Greece. It was founded in the 1960s and since then it has been serving 1st graders to 6th graders. Throughout the last decades our school has been successfully implementing educational programs designed to support students' academic growth, personal development and social responsibility in a balanced learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and lifelong learning. Through differentiated instruction and interactive teaching methods, teachers adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners. This year, as part of our participation in the International Fair Play Passport program, our school is organising an intra-school competition that promotes the core values of fair play, respect, teamwork and self-discipline. Each class collects points throughout the implementation of the program by demonstrating sportsmanship, cooperation, responsibility and respectful behavior in both academic and athletic activities. The central goal of the competition is symbolic and inspiring. Every class is encouraged to exceed 776 points, representing the year of the first recorded Olympic Games (776 BC). At the same time, classes are challenged not to fall below 300 points, symbolizing the 300 warriors of King Leonidas and their courage, determination and unity.
