An iconic figure of sport, on the outskirts of an iconic monument, for an… iconic meeting of students with the pure and ethical values of sport, which should also guide our everyday lives. Beneath the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis, the Stavraki Primary School of Ioannina—one of the 15 schools from the five continents participating in the International FairPlay Passport Olympia Club—just a few days before the official launch of the program, together with Michalis Mertzianidis member of the Communications & Marketing Team, awarded the International FairPlay Passport (IFPP) to the global basketball legend Panagiotis Giannakis, who stands as a shining role model of these values. This outstanding athlete, coach, and individual spoke to the children about the respect that we must always show toward both teammates and opponents, which in turn helps us all become better, and wished the students success in achieving their dreams.
